David Beckham made his debut with AC Milan at the Sevens stadium in Dubai. Wearing #32 in red and black, David only played the first half of the match, but had a solid showing and impressed the European media. Things are looking good as he heads into his second game with the team this weekend. If David keeps it up, he could even be in the running to play as a starter.
AC Milan defeated Hamburg 4-3 in a shoot-out, after the game ended n a 1-1 draw.
Victoria and Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz watched the game from a VIP box, with lots of security on hand. The family arrived about a half hour late and missed some of David’s playing time, but seemed to enjoy the experience.
Victoria looked smashing in a dress from her own collection. A bit fancy for a football game, but it was a special day!
Victoria and the boys will be returning to the US soon, as the boys need to get back to school!

Rumors are flying that David Beckham is getting set to purchase a $7 million apartment in what is soon to be the world’s tallest building, the Burj Dubai tower. The tower will stand over 820 metres in height, making it the tallest structure in the world by over 200 metres.

Construction on the Burj Dubai tower began in September 2004 and is expected to be completed in September 2009. At that time, the project will have cost over $4.1 billion.
Armani was commissioned to design some of the suites and it’s expected that David and Victoria will collaborate with them to design their perfect Arabic getaway.
Victoria’s parents already have a holiday home in Dubai, so it would be nice for the Beckhams to have a place of their own. However, this is only in the rumor stage, so who knows if it’s going to happen!

David Beckham cleared up all the rumors about where his family would be while he plays for AC Milan. Victoria and their three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, will all be returning to Los Angeles.
“My children will remain in Los Angeles due to school and Victoria will remain with them. When she comes to Milan she will remain with me for a couple of days,” he told reporters today during training in Dubai.
David also said he looks forward to his first match with Milan tomorrow and isn’t focussed on starting, but rather on getting in shape, playing the best he can and putting the team first.
I’m excited for David to et back on the field! Here’s hoping this Milan gamble pays off for him and he returns to LA better than ever!

Victoria Beckham, her three boys and her parents are all in Dubai in anticipation of David’s first game for AC Milan tomorrow. Victoria’s parents have a summer home in the city that was a gift from David a few years ago.
David and Victoria went out for dinner on Saturday with the other AC Milan players and their wives. Victoria looked stunning in a Dolce & Gabbana dress from their Spring 2009 collection.
See the photos here.
Yesterday, Victoria, David the boys and her parents went out for lunch at a private golf course where the AC Milan are training. Victoria went for a casual look with a red maxi dress.
See the photos here.
Here’s a video of David continuing to train with AC Milan.
David will not be starting the game against Hamburg tomorrow, but he will definitely see some action! I wonder when the boys will be headed back to Los Angeles. Victoria will be going on to Milan with David, but surely school will be starting soon? Or perhaps Victoria has changed her mind again and enrolled the boys at a school in Milan?

The AC Milan is playing Hamburg in a friendly match on Tuesday, Janiary 6th and this is when David Beckham is expected to make his Milan debut. While he isn’t quite in match shape, the Milan coaches aren’t worried.
“He lacks a bit of strength, but even this is normal, given a long break,” coach Carlo Ancelotti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
If all goes well, we should expect to see David in the match against Roma on January 11.
“Will he also play in Rome? He’s ready to do it, why shouldn’t he be there?” Andelotti responded when asked.
I’m sure with these two games coming up and the daily training the team is undergoing, David will be back in match shape in no time! I hope his stint with Milan is everything he wants it to be.

David Beckham is currently in Dubai, training with AC Milan. He will make his first appearance for the club on Tuesday, January 6, when AC Milan takes on Hamburg. The game will take place at 7pm at the Sevens.
David isn’t quite in match shape yet. He was seen wearing a heart monitor in practice, and The Daily Mail reported that David seemed quite out of breath after each practice this week. Since the Galaxy’s season has been over for quite a while, I’m sure this isn’t a shock to David or Milan. He’ll be back in match shape in no time!
Here are photos of David training on January 2.

David Beckham had a solid year in 2008. His season with the Galaxy was injury-free, but still ended with disappointing results. He launched the now infamous Emporio Armani campaign, starred in unique Adidas and Sharpie ads, explored professional options beyond playing football, received his 100th cap for England, participated in the closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics and much more.
Given all that David did this past year, it was tough to pick out the five biggest highlights of the year. Here’s the list I came up with. David Beckham’s biggest moments of 2008:
5) Being named VP of England’s 2018 World Cup Bid
David is very dedicated to the advancement of soccer globally. What better way to award his dedication–and to put trust in David’s future in football?–than to have him intimately involved in the 2018 World Cup bid? 2008 saw David look at his career beyond playing football. He took meetings with AEG and Galaxy owner Tim Leiweke. These moves said one thing: expect David to be around for a long time.
4) Participating in the Beijing Olympics closing ceremonies
The Beijing Olympics put athletes at the forefront of the world’s consciousness. The Olympics are one of the most prestigious and honored atheltic traditions of the modern era and being invited to participate in their closing ceremonies is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Who better to help us look forward to the 2012 games in London than the global face of British athletics? David was humbled and awed by the closing ceremonies and the invitation to participate in them. It was a spectacular show. Look for London and David to top it in four years!
3) His Emporio Armani underwear campaign
David’s newest underwear ads sent women screaming and people everywhere rushing to stores to purchase pairs. Only a 10-metre billboard of a nearly nude David Beckham could drive up the sales of briefs around the world. The success of this campaign proves David’s appeal goes far beyond the sports world and resonates with practically everyone.
2) Signing with AC Milan
David loves soccer and is constantly looking at opportunities to see the sport and himself grow. What better way than to sign a deal with one of Italy’s premiere teams? Here’s hoping this deal will see David improve as a player, and subsequently, the LA Galaxy and the English national squad improve too!
1) Receiving his 100th cap for England
100 caps is an amazing honor for any soccer player. When David received his 100th on March 26 in a friendly against France, he joined the ranks of only five other players in England’s soccer history. While David has earned 7 caps since then, there is something magical about the number 100. The match symbolized David’s turnaround as a player, seeing as two years ago his career looked all but over. Nothing else will feel that good until David reaches 126 caps and becomes England’s all-time cap leader.

Ed Westwick was a breakout star of 2008, playing playboy Chuck Bass on the hit show Gossip Girl.
Despite Ed’s newfound fame, he still finds certain celebrities intimidating, including David Beckham.
Ed was interviewed by Reveal for their current issue, when he revealed he had the chance to meet David. Unfortunately, Ed was so starstruck, he couldn’t approach his childhood hero!
Ed, who grew up in Hertfordshire in the UK was a football fan and followed David’s career as a youngster.
“I had a Beckham shirt when I was a kid and he was the one I watched growing up,” Ed says.
The party was in New York City in the fall and Ed schmoozed with stars like George Clooney and David Bowie. On a trip to the bathroom, he bumped into the soccer star.
“I went to the toilet and there was David Beckham. I couldn’t say anything, I just ran out. A friend tried to persuade me to say, ‘Hello,’ but I couldn’t do it. It was ridiculous.”
It’s great to hear that even celebs still get starstruck. I have a few childhood idols of my own that I know I couldn’t approach!

Victoria Beckham had a fantastic year. She enjoyed a successful reunion tour with the Spice Girls, chopped off her hair, launched her new perfume and dress collection, saw her family grow, and just emerged more confident and chic as ever.
I’ve selected what I think were Victoria’s four biggest moments of 2008. Do you agree? Disagree? What do you think her biggest moment of 2008 was?
4) The Poxie
Victoria Beckham chopped her hair and the world gasped and women everywhere ran to their hairdressers to ask for her newest ‘do. The close-knitted crop, created by New York Celebrity stylist Garren, was quickly dubbed “the Poxie” and showed off Victoria’s sense of style, stunning features and confidence.
3) Launching the Signature for Him & Her Fragrances
Launching Signature for Him and Signature for Her at Macy’s in New York City this September solidified the Beckham brand as a global phenom. Bringing their fragrances to the US was a risk in itself, but launching yet another perfume in these rocky economic times proved the Beckhams are a force to be reckoned with. (It helps that the fragrances smell great too!)
2) The Spice Girls’ Final Concert
2008 was the year the Spice Girls said goodbye to the world and Victoria said goodbye to the Spice Girls. While the tour was sadly cut short, disappointing thousands of fans all over the world, it’s easy to say that the glitzy and over-the-top show was the concert of the year, it was the highest grossing show of 2007/08. All the girls’ families even got involved, with the kids frequently coming on stage (turning Cruz Beckham into a star of his own!), showing how far the girls have come in the past ten years.
1) Launching the Victoria Beckham Collection
Everyone was cautiously optimistic about Victoria’s dress collection. With no fashion experience of her own, it was possible that the Victoria Beckham Collection would turn out to be another run-of-the-mill celebrity collection. But Victoria wowed them with her launch in New York (even the promotional video got rave reviews!) and went from fashion-designer wannabe to fashion-designer extraordinaire. The line was a hit with fans and critics alike and left only one question: What will Victoria Beckham do next?
